Schools Outreach Program
Debate Teaching Program
The Union Debating Society operates an excellent Schools Outreach Program where we go to schools and colleges in the local area to teach students about debating and public speaking. We currently have links with schools across Fife and have recently expanded to assist in Japan through zoom.

St Andrews Schools Competition
Every year, St Andrews welcomes schools debate teams from across Scotland to the St Andrews Schools Competition. This is a day long competition for school-children to practise their debating skills against others and experience St Andrews in-person.
This competition normally takes place in September and is beginner friendly with a novice/pro-am break. If you would like to join our mailing list please fill out this form.
